We meet every second Friday from 7.15am at Middlesbrough Municipal Golf Centre, Ladgate Lane, Middlesbrough TS5 7YZ.
The meeting is usually finished by 8:30am so it doesn’t affect your working day. It’s an early start so there’s coffee, bacon sandwiches, fruit and juice to help wake you up. Don’t forget to bring lots of business cards!
Our members give a one minute talk about their business, and what kind of referrals they are looking for. You’re welcome to give a one minute talk too. At each meeting, one member will give a longer presentation that we call In the Spotlight. This talk lasts around ten minutes and gives a more in-depth look at the member’s business or related topic. Members are also encouraged to arrange one-to-one meetings to get to understand each others’ business better. This allows members to look for more targeted referrals for other members.
All members and guests pay £10 per meeting to cover room hire and breakfast. You can be our guest at up to two meetings – at the second meeting, you’ll be asked if you’d like to submit an application to join the group. Your application will then be considered by the members. If your application is successful, there’s a joining fee of £150 and an annual subscription of £25.
Although all currently unrepresented professions are welcome to apply to join The Business Connection, we’re actively looking for the following professions to join:

- Funeral Director
- Human Resources
